Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then crumble.
In the same skillet, cook the chicken over medium heat until no longer pink, then shred.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, diced potatoes, ranch dressing, and half of the cheese.
Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
Top with the remaining cheese and green onions.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the layers to set.
